So I usually don't do this, I don't like to complain publicly, but this is a good place to practice your patience, so if you have to go here be forewarned. I feel like the staff and service used to be much better. The doctors and staff were good and wait times were reasonable.
Lately, I've had one bad experience after another. It all started a few weeks ago when I took my son in for flu like symtoms, fever, cough, asthma. They wouldn't swab him to test for the flu. Their explaination was that they had been swabbing people too much lately and they had been warned by public health or whoever funds them, to stop testing for flu unless patience meet a certain criteria. Criteria being: high fever and cough. My son was experiencing both of those symptoms, but since i had administered the fever medication prior to arriving, his temp was only 99 at that particular moment. I did explain that i had just given him the medicine, but at home, his fever was higher, spiking every 4 hours or so. Not good enough for them. Logically i was upset and i made it known. I understood their explaination but like i told them, it's not my 4 year old son's problem, that you swabbed too many people already! We are in the middle of what seems like a dangerous flu epidemic. I felt better after the doctor discovered that he had an ear infection, that explained the fever and no more need to for test. Ok. They prescribed him the antibiotic. The next day i go to the pharmacy to pick up the medicine and after waiting in line for an hour at walgreens, they said they didn't have anything for him, the order was never sent!!! I have to call them and ask them to please send it. They said ok, we'll send it right now, waited...waited....waited. they didn't send, called again, yes we sent it already. Waited....waited, didn't send. Walgreens had to call them to get the order in. Unfortunately, i had to go back yesterday for myself this time. I walk in around 7 pm. They close at 8. They said they were not taking in anymore patient's because they close at 8 and they stop taking patients at 7. Ok, then why don't you just close at 7, because the walkins from 7-8 can make an appointment for tomorrow. I said ok, I'll just come in tomorrow. So I go in today around 6 pm. They said " oh sorry, we stop taking patients at 5:30." WHAT??!!! Same staff as the night before. "But yestetday you said 7, today your saying 5:30?!" Yes, i can make you an appointment for tomorrow."
No thank you. If I need to see a doctor Monday-Friday I'll just go see my primary doctor. Isn't the whole point of this clinic to be able to see a doctor during none business hours?!
Our resources are so limited around here, I wish they had better support, to provide a better service. Also because our resources are limited, we don't have many other options, so we will probably have to return one day. I hope to have a better experience next time.
